Overview
Over a number years, my role at TD Ameritrade went first from Platform Design Lead to Senior Manager to Studio Director to Head of Experience Design enterprise-wide.
Throughout my journey at TDA, I worked steadily to apply systems thinking and design to our products. After much planning, communication, and relationship building, I was empowered to make a unified enterprise-wide system a reality.
When v1.0 of the system was complete, we documented the work for stakeholders in this large-format premium printed book they could reference as the system was deployed into code.
A book for a digital system? Yes! Of course, we put all of the living documentation online so it could evolve as any system should. Still, this artifact was a huge morale boost, a keepsake for the hard-working team members, and a reference for the many executives who supported the project.
